Abstract
The experimental paddy field is located in Toyama city at the region 100-150 meters above, and water temperature for agricultural use is low. Low water temperature and low percentage of ripened grains may be thought to affect the yield and grain quality in this region. In this experiment, effects of midseasons deep flooding management on growth, yield, and grain quality of rice cv. Koshihikari grown with direct sowing was discussed. It was pointed out that midseasons deep flooding management in this region will increasethe yield and decrease the percentage of immature grain.
