Abstract

Internal wave with a period of about 6min., an amplitude of about 2m, and a wave length of about 80m was observed near the tidal front at Osaka Bay in summer 1991. These types of internal waves might be generated at sites where water depths abruptly change and the tidal current is relatively strong.
