Abstract

This paper proposes the management feature for controlling contents and user groups in the Web-based E-Learning System (WebELS) Meeting module, so that WebELS Meeting can be used in business situations to meet reasonable security control at reasonable cost. This feature has been required in implementing software as a service (SaaS) for WebELS utilizing a single machine servicing multiple user groups. There are three important functions - (1) Administrative Tool for managing members and the system, (2) Member Verification for verifying member permission, and (3) Role Controller for controlling role of members that consists of the Create Content Limitation, Concurrent Access Limitation and so on. This system increases the efficiency of managing and implementing WebELS Business Meeting as a SaaS.
