We investigated splash produced by a rigid body impacting water. There are many factors related to splash formation, but we focused on effect of head-shape on splash of Type-II in this paper. The Type-II splash is one formed by film-flow running along the surface of the head. Thus, it is influenced by the head-shape. We compared with splashes of a) hemisphere-, b) cylinder- and c) cone-heads. It was found that there was no ripple on surface of the air cavity formed by the cone-head body. Contraction of the air cavity after separation from the body made splash sharp. The sharp splash affected the Type-II splash.
