To investigate a tornado-like flow, there is a tornado-like simulator installing guide-vanes to generate a circulation to inlet flow, and a fan to make a updraft at its center. The angle of guide-vane has been uniformly set in this type simulator. In this study, a new tornado-like simulator was developed installing servomotors to change the guide-vane angle individually. This paper reports the effects of the inlet angle decided forcedly by guide-vanes on the center position of the formed swirling flow. As results, it was clarified that the inlet angle changes the center position of the formed swirling flow, however, the inlet flow velocity should be changed individually to control the characteristics of the tornado-like flow.
