In this study, we investigated the ground reaction force (GRF) of outside leg and inside leg in direction changes from right side to left side during 20 seconds side step test. Eight women college students (21.5 ± 0.9years old, 156.1 ± 5.6cm, 515.3 ± 5.0N) participated in this experiment. The subject were divided into two groups, fast group and slow group, according to number of steps during side step test. The GRF waves of inside leg showed two aspects with two peaks. As to the outside leg, fast group changed direction for large load in short landing time. As to the inside leg, on the other hand, first aspect played a role as brakes to change direction with following outside leg quickly. The load of slow group in outside leg was not enough so they supplemented the power for changing the direction by the second aspect in inside leg.
