New Glucosides from Thai Medicinal Plant, Balanophora latisepala

Abstract

From the whole part of Balanophora latisepala Lee. (Balanophoraceae), two new compounds have been isolated and identified as loganin 6'-O-β-glucopyranoside and 4-O-(6'-O-p-coumaroyl-β-glucopyranosyl) coniferyl aldehyde together with seven known compounds, coniferin, coniferyl aldehyde, coniferyl aldehyde β-glucopyranoside, 8-epiloganin, (7S, 8R) dehydrodiconiferyl alcohol and (+)-pinoresinol-β-glucopyranoside. The structure elucidations were based on analyses of spectroscopic data.
