The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Dohsa-hou as a facilitative method of academic study for the child with clumsiness from the viewpoint of academic performance and body movement. The subject was a boy of the thrid grader at elementary school, who had pervasive developmental disorders. In the first phase, subject was trained to erase with an eraser as playing game. In second phase, the Dohsa-hou was added, in the third phase, reinforcement was added to erase with an eraser. As a result, depend on progress of body control, his posture and fine motor movement was improved. The measure of body control was to erase clearly with a eraser and the measure of academic performance was the number of mistakes of calclation. Therefore, this study suggested that Dohsa-hou has an effect in the improvement of a posture or fine mortion and reduction of a calculation mistake.
