ソルガム類のタイプ・品種に注目して窒素および無機成分吸収量の特性を検討した。ソルガムの栽培は2005年および2006年に行い,両年次65品種(子実型:7,兼用型:11,ソルゴー型:15,スーダン型:22,スーダングラス:10)について検討した。その結果,N,P2O5,K2O,CaO,MgO,NO3-N濃度およびK/(Ca+Mg)当量比に品種間差が見いだされた。同様にN,P2O5,K2O,CaO,およびMgO吸収量についても品種間差が認められた。子実型,兼用型,ソルゴー型ソルガムとスーダン型ソルガム,スーダングラスのグループに大別すると養分濃度および吸収量の平均値は,養分濃度,吸収量ともにスーダン型ソルガム,スーダングラス品種が子実型,兼用型,ソルゴー型ソルガム品種に比較して高かった。NO3-N濃度が0.2%を超えた品種数は,子実型,兼用型,ソルゴー型ソルガム品種では,存在しなかったが,スーダン型ソルガム,スーダングラス品種では,32品種中28品種であった。K/(Ca+Mg)当量比が2.2を超えた品種数は子実型,兼用型,ソルゴー型ソルガム品種では,32品種中6品種であったが,スーダン型ソルガム,スーダングラス品種では,32品種中26品種であった。スーダン型ソルガム,スーダングラス品種のうち,NO3-N濃度が0.2%以下でK/(Ca+Mg)当量比が2.2以下の品種は"東山交32号","T122"および"HSK1"であった。養分濃度および吸収量が高かった品種は,スーダン型ソルガムおよびスーダングラスに属する未出穂タイプの極晩生種"SS701","ロールキング"および"PC3079"であった。

Differences in nutrient concentrations and nutrient uptakes among sorghum varieties were evaluated. Sorghum was cultivated in 2005 and 2006, and 65 varieties were evaluated in both years. Variety differences were observed in the N, P_2O_5, K_2O, CaO, MgO, and NO_3-N concentrations and K/(Ca+Mg) equivalent ratio. Variety differences were also observed in the N, P_2O_5, K_2O, CaO, and MgO uptakes. When sorghums were divided into grain type, dual-purpose type, sorgo type, and Sudan type sorghum, and Sudan grass varieties, the means of both the nutrient concentration and uptake were higher in Sudan type sorghum and Sudan grass varieties than in grain type, dual-purpose type, and sorgo type varieties. The NO_3-N concentration exceeded 0.2% in no grain type, dual-purpose type, or sorgo type sorghum varieties but in 28 of 32 Sudan type sorghum and Sudan grass breeds. The K/(Ca+Mg) equivalent ratio exceeded 2.2 in 6 of 32 grain type, dual-purpose type, and sorgo type sorghum varieties and 26 of 32 Sudan type sorghum and Sudan grass varieties. The NO_3-N concentration was 0.2% or lower, and the K/(Ca+Mg) equivalent ratio was 2.2 or lower, in "Tozanko 32", "T122", and "HSK1" among the Sudan type sorghum and Sudan grass varieties. The nutrient concentrations and uptakes were high in "SS701", "Roleking", and "PC3079", which are Sudan-type sorghum and Sudan grasses.
