The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of four consecutive exercise days on salivary secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA) and mood. Eleven healthy and sedentary males performed different light or moderate intensity exercises for 30 minutes once a day (Day1: step exercise, Day2: strength training, Day3: walking, and Day4: floor hockey) in 4 consecutive days. The results showed that the sIgA level before exercise (in the morning) increased by carrying out exercises for 4 consecutive days. Additionally, the correlation between the level of sIgA secretion and mood suggests that the high-level secretion of sIgA was associated with incresed "tranquility" and decreased "negative affect" after exercise.
