抄録

A questionnaire survey was conducted to examine how elementary-level learners recognize the role of models in writing and how they apply them in their own writing. Results show that: 1) The learners' awareness in understanding models are well-controlled; 2) The learners focus on text organization in the model analysis phase, but in their own writing, their foci include grammar and vocabulary; and 3) The learners have varying difficulties in producing their own writing. It indicates that the learners do not necessarily retain continuity from understanding of models to producing their own output using them.
