抄録

Porous apatite (Neobone^[○!R]) was mixed with medical-grade collagen, freeze-dried and cross-linked by de-hydrothermal treatment so that collagen/apatite composite was produced. The composites were implanted in critical-sized defects created in 10 week old rat calvarias, and bone formation behaviors were examined by micro CT. Collagen only did not regenerate bone, but the composites were capable of re-forming bones in rat calvarias' defect areas.
