抄録

In order to develop gutta-percha having an antibacterial property, an inorganic antibacterial agent was added, at 1%, 5% and 10%, to TACTENDO GUTTA to evaluate the antibacterial property. An antibacterial test was made to evaluate the residual viable count of Porphyromonas gingivalis cultured on TACTENDO GUTTA. A significant decrease was observed in the residual viable count of Porphyromonas gingivalis compared to when bacteria alone was used for cultivating. Moreover, an antibacterial property was also observed in the TACTENDO GUTTA without an antibacterial agent. It is believed that the addition of inorganic antibacterial agents to gutta-percha is effective in terms of developing gutta-percha having an antibacterial property.
