The purpose of this study was to evaluate two different adhesives for faceguard materials, which were cyanoacrylate type adhesive and styrene-butadiene rubber type adhesive. The bonding strength by a delamination test after 1 hour and 24 hours from the start of bonding were measured and analyzed with 2-way ANOVA. Factors of adhesive type and time after bonding significantly influenced bonding strength. Moreover their interaction was coordinate. These results suggest that improvement of bonding strength was needed in styrene-butadiene rubber type adhesive for adhesion between materials for faceguard, and it was preferable not to use faceguard just after the adhesion of materials by cyanoacrylate type adhesive.
