In order to clarify the preservation stability of surface treatment with adhesion-promoting monomer to pure gold, primer-treated gold specimens were stored for 6 months at 37℃ in the air, and then tensile bond strengths of MMA-PMMA/TBBO resin to the gold specimens were measured after 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 thermal cyclings. Surface treatment agent was prepared by dissolving 9,10-epithiodecyl methacrylate (EP8MA) in ethanol. The bond strengths after thermal cyclings ranged from 16.3 to 24.2 MPa, and results showed that surface treatment with EP8MA to pure gold was effective even after 6 months of accelerated aging storage at 37℃.
