This paper reports a method of group learning in chemistry classes for lower graders. The aim of introducinggroup learning is to construct a support system by classmates in class. Learning support by classmates will motivate eachstudent to study. My classes have been held by this method since 2008. The class evaluation by the students and the resultsof the examinations indicate that the group learning is more efficient for further understanding of learning contents thanfull-class learning. It is possible to say that the support system enhances the motivation for learning activity. The detailaspects and advantages of the method will be discussed.
