Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the coupling effect by tensile strength and wear loss values of the experimental light-cure spherical composite containing filler treated with a hydrophobic silane coupling agent having double bond (p-MBS). The tensile strength of p-MBS composite was significantly higher compared with control (3-MPS)(p<0.05), and the wear loss values of p-MBS composite was significantly lower compared with control (3-MPS)(p<0.05). It was suggested that the experimental composite containing with filler treated with hydrophobic silane was enhanced wear resistance by promoted the coupling layer reacting with matrix monomer.
