Abstract

A document dealing with Japanese history is reproduced by several different means, such as microfilm, calligraphic reproduction, and photography. The information of the historical document is various types such as catalogs, texts and images. The diverse information is often distributed and is managed separately. In the paper we present a system named "The Union Catalogue of Japanese Historical Documents" which is a catalog database system of Japanese historical documents. The system is a linkage platform of the documents and can relate among various information of the documents.
