Since fiscal 2006, Akashi National College of Technology, Department of Electrical and ComputerEngineering has been offering a course of human resource program related to sequential control intended for juniorengineers of neighborhood small and medium-sized firms as one activity designed for a regional contribution. Forsuccessful human resource programs, many key factors exist including selection of the theme to be lectured,expectation of the technical level of students taking the course, securing of the number of students, selection ofeducational materials, and setting of tuition. This paper reports contents of the human resource program and presentsexamples of its application, and states some points to be kept in mind for sequential control themes, which arefrequently requested by firms. We also evaluated the developed educational materials and evaluated tuition to ascertainpoints that can be improved in the future.
