Authors calculated the borehole thermal resistance by boundary element method. Calculated the borehole thermal resistance is 0.127m^2K/W for a single U-tube heat exchanger and 0.086m^2K/W for a double U-tube heat exchanger when λ_g=1.8W/m/K, d_<Utube>=32mm, d_<bo>=120mm, d_<iUtube>=52mm as calculation conditions were given. When it makes the distance between supply pipe and return pipe of single U-tube wider, thermal resistance becomes lower. It is better to keep turbulent flow for making the amount of heat transfer by convection much.
