Field experiment with foundation piles as ground heat exchangers (GHEX) applying low flow circulation (LF) has been carried out since October 2006 in order to develop the LF-GHEX. The LF-GHEX can extract or inject nearly equal heat to the conventional GHEX even in a case where the low flow circulation system is adopted in the primary side. As the result, the authors confirmed that several GHEXs with flow rate of 8L/min extracted nearly equal heat to the conventional one with flow rate of 16L/min. In addition, the variation of temperature calculated by a simulation program for the GHEX could reproduce the measured one.
