Abstract
We have developed a census mesh data display program module for urban geography study materials ofcollege students. The program module, "Census Converter" converts from census data in Japan (Census Mash Data)to KML (Keyhole Markup Language) tag form data with simple imagery operation. The Google Earth is a softwareprogram that can display remote sensing imagery and various geographical data draped over a virtual globe usingthe KML tag form. College students can observe various geographical distribution graphs derived from the censusdata using the Google Earth. For example, the graph of the commuter's distribution by the car can be observedincluding the place name and satellite image. Moreover, we tried the display of the operation result of two censusdata like an index image of life style impact of environment. This paper shows the Census Converter module, examples of the geographical education using the census data.
