Abstract
We succeeded to manufacture a compact magnetic levitation system which costs only about 6,000 yen.The objectives we developed this system are, (1) to design to be able to manufacture at low cost andeasily to utilize for education, (2) the system is portable to bring at some classes or other places toshow the demonstration as a typical feedback control system, (3) and to help students' learning aboutautomatic control. We are constructing our web site which shows information all of parts to assemble,how to manufacture and method to adjust the control parameters. This magnetic levitation system hasthree characteristics; (a) the microcomputer used as the controller has a function to find suitable controlparameters automatically, (b) you can change the feedback parameters as you like wherever the controlsystem is running, (c) it's possible to monitor the control input and output signals using extra terminals.We hope this system will be used in many field of engineering education.
