本研究の目的は,手術室看護師が看護基礎教育で経験した手術室実習の困難感と,手術室実習に期待することを明らかにし,効果的な実習指導を検討することである.研究方法は,看護基礎教育卒業後に希望して手術室看護師となった10名を対象に,半構成的面接法による質的帰納的研究を行った.その結果,手術室実習の困難感には,【実習指導者との関係が構築できない辛さ】【教員の助言・サポートが思うように機能しないもどかしさ】【実習形態の違いから生じる戸惑い】の3つのカテゴリーが導き出された.さらに,手術室実習に期待するものには,【実習指導者の積極的な関わり】【学習意欲を高める教員の関わり】【実習指導者と教員の連携】【時間的余裕のある実習】の4つのカテゴリーが導き出された.教員は学生に対し,手術室実習は診療の補助を含む見学主体の実習であることを伝え,否定的な経験として知覚しないように説明する等の必要性が示唆された.

The aim of the present study was to investigate effective training guidance by elucidating the difficulties experienced by surgical nurses in regard to operating room training during basic nursing education and their expectations of this training. We performed a qualitative inductive study in which we conducted semi-structured interviews with 10 nurses who had chosen to become surgical nurses after graduating from basic nursing education. As a result, we identified three categories related to difficulties experienced in operating room training. These categories were, "distress from not being able to build relationships with instructors,"" frustration that teachers' advice and support do not function as desired,"and" confusion due to differences in training formats." We also identified four categories for expectations of operating room training. These were," interactions of surgical nurses with the students,"" involvement of teachers that increases one's motivation to learn," "cooperation between instructors and teachers,"and "training with sufficient time." Our findings suggested that teachers must convey to students that operating room training mainly involves observation-including assisting with medical care-and explain that students should not view training as a negative experience.
