Abstract

I presented the clinical experience and researches about eating disorders in Kohnodai Hospital, National Center for Global Health and Medicine, and also gave my own opinion to the foresight of this disorder. I was, at first, surprised at the impulsive actions and severe acting outs of a patient with eating disorder but got some impressive hints from them as I saw the severity of these disorders. In clinical researches of the national project of eating disorders, we got the long-term clinical outcome which was gained as the joint clinical research of six special- institutions for the first time in Japan. In addition we investigated the number of special institutions in Japan and only a few numbers of specialists were found who were already tired out, because they had too many patients. At last, I augmented the needs for a national global project of special institutions for eating disorders such as found in Europe and America.
