An inverted pendulum vehicle controlled by the movement of the driver's center of gravity is one of the Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMV). PMV is expected to be used in pedestrian spaces from its high convenience. Several researches are done about the safety or affinity with pedestrians for utilization. However, the research on the interaction between a driver and the inverted pendulum vehicle focusing on muscle load have not been done so much. Therefore, we used the electromyograph in order to investigate on which muscles have the influence on a driver and how much it is. In this study, the coupling model of the vehicle and human is built by using Multibody Dynamics. The vehicle is expressed by 2 rigid bodies (tire and body) and a human is expressed by 8 rigid bodies. Using the proposed model, we calculate the muscle load of driver when the arbitrary disturbance was added to the coupling model. As the result, we evaluate muscle load when a driver is on inverted pendulum vehicle.
