Abstract

In order to investigate the dynamic characteristics and evaluate the seismic diagnosis values of 2-storied wooden houses which were built before 1981, horizontal oscillating tests have been carried out using small-sized vibration generator in Mihama Town, Aichi Prefecture. As a result of about 40 houses of experiments, the natural frequency of the houses becomes lower when the ratio of the wall is smaller. And the torsional vibration amplitude from horizontal oscillating tests properly corresponds to the eccentricity of the house. Simulation analysis using lumped mass model is also carried out and the torsional vibration mode enough corresponds the measuredmode.
