- 20918 A Study of MR damper that Utilizes Multi Pole Electromagnets
抄録
In general MR damper can vary resisting force characteristics when magnetic field is applied to MR fluid. In this paper an unique type of MR damper that has multi pole electromagnets is developed. The damper has a by-pass pipe installed with eight electromagnets around by-pass pipe. The damper can have changeable resisting force characteristics by switching not only magnetic flux density and also pole assignment of the electromagnets. The magnetic fields are analyzed by using FEM. Resisting force characteristics of the test damper are measured in three cases of pole assignments. Finally the dynamic performances are discussed experimentally.
