- F135 A study in dual fuel engines with biomass gas
抄録
To use biomass energy by gasifying, it is considered to utilize dual fuel engines and burn biomass gas with light oil, because biomass gas has compositional fluctuation and the effect of this fluctuation should be suppressed. But the number of experimental conditions, for example, the energy ratio of gas and the quantity of light oil, is too large and it is very difficult to investigate the effects of fluctuation by experiment. In this paper, combustion model of dual fuel engines using biomass gas is constructed and is verified in ability to estimate thermal efficiency, cylinder pressure, and rate of heat release through compared to these parameters of experiments. The results are as follows. Increase in quantity of fuel gas declines thermal efficiency and this model can expect this trend qualitatively, but not quantitatively. The effect of fluctuation of hydrogen rate included to biomass gas can also be estimated except the lowest rate.
