- A215 Effect of entrance effect at orifice downstream on mass transfer from pipe wall
抄録
The mass transfer coefficient from the wall of the orifice downstream is measured when the entrance effect is superimposed. The measurement is compared with the mass transfer correlation for the enlarged channel and for the entrance effect. The comparison shows that both correlation are underestimated the measurement. It suggests that the entrance effect is superimposed on the effect of the orifice. Therefore, an empirical correlation which is employed the orifice Reynolds number and the Schmidt number is proposed using the measurement. The empirical correlation shows that the superimposition of the orifice effect and entrance effect is not a simple multiplication. The complex superimposition suggests that the concentration boundary layer is not fully developed in the orifice downstream even if there is enough development length.
