The research aimed at assessing ones postural balance with weighted body against to externally perturbed situations. Kinetic features of postural dynamics under horizontal vibration was investigated in sagittal plane. A perturbation platform was provided to stimulate standing subject in anterior-posterior direction with random vibration. Postural movements and ground reaction forces were acquired by using an optical motion capture system and a force plate mounted on the perturbation platform. Six healthy young male subjects were participated on our experiment. In addition to normal standing condition, subjects carried external weights with a backpack in varieties of 2 kg and 4 kg. The results suggests that backpack loads increases thorax and pelvis inclination to the forward, and requires slightly larger joint moments ot lower extremities. Also ranges of the center of pressure translations were diminished under loaded conditions in their control of postural stability.
