抄録

A corrosion preventing technique is one of the most important issue, because a pitting corrosion of aluminum heat exchanger is the critical damage. Microstructures of aluminum containing titanium for heat exchanger to improve on corrosion resistance were examined by OM, EPMA and EDX-TEM. The corrosion behavior of aluminum containing titanium after a salt water acetic acid test was the progress to the direction of the surface. An area of the corrosion region was existed regardless of a grain boundary and there were metal flow lines in the cross section of specimen by OM. Distribution of the titanium in the aluminum was fiber-like from area analysis of EPMA. Titanium was solid-solved in the aluminum from analysis of EDX-TEM. The corrosion behavior of aluminum containing titanium is explained by the difference of corrosion potential for titanium concentration.
