2002年の学習指導要領完全実施に向けて新しく創設された「総合的な学習の時間」の積極的な取り組みがなされている。とりわけ、国際理解教育や情報教育といった横断的・総合的な課題に関するものが脚光を浴びているように思われる。算数教育でも「総合的な学習の時間」との関連が取りざたされ、算数科から如何に「総合的な学習の時間」にアプローチすればよいかが研究の大きな柱の1つとなっている。そこで、算数科からどのような「総合的な学習の時間」へのアプローチが考えられるのかを考察する。

Toward the full enforcement of the revised course of study from the year of 2002, various kinds of positive trials have been attempted to the newly built, The Hours of Integrated Study. They are, for example, about international understandings and information instructions so on. Above all, such as cross-sectional tasks or integrated assignments seem to be spotlighted. In the field of the elementary mathematics teaching, the correlation with The Hours of Integrated Study has been much speculated and become one of the main targets. Here we are going to consider about what kind of approach is suitable to The Hours of Integrated Study.
