抄録

Because of the attitude toward caregiving, any change in the lifestyle due to caregiving, mental conflict triggered by the start of caregiving, effort for administering care appropriately, mastering the skills for caregiving, and learning how to handle the burden and stress of caregiving to solve associated problems were extracted from the interviews. In addition, a new view of caregiving was gained through the experience, along with an increasing willingness to provide care based on affection for the care-receiver and the ties of marriage. It was observed that the caregivers changed their attitudes about caregiving as their role or the meaning of their lives, which strengthened the ties again.
