This paper presents a new powered suit aiming at reduction of burden of a care giver's waist in transfer work. In order to make an attachment and a detachment of the powered suit easy, lightweight overalls with high pliability is used. Then, the simple structured powered suit in which an artificial muscle is attached on the back of the overalls was built. The effectiveness of the proposed powered suit was evaluated by using integrated electromyogram. In addition, by performing identification of an action in the transfer work using a tilt sensor and a pressure sensor, a method of carrying out automatic detection of the timing which makes the powered suit generate assistance force, was proposed
