抄録

The aim of this paper was to review psychological researches on narcissism in which psychological tests and inventories were utilized.　We divided the researches into five groups. They were, (1)researches on the basis of Murray's ideas, (2)researches by means of projective methods, (3)researches using Raskin ＆ Hall's NPI, (4)measurements of narcissism with MMPI items, (5)the cther researches. The important issues of each group were discussed.　We have found much promise in the studies by means of Raskin ＆ Hall's NPI, Patton et al.(1982), 0'Brien(1987), and so on.　We have already developed the Japanese version of NPI(Miyashila＆Kamiji, 1985), but there are some problems in NPI(including its Japanese version). We are planning to develop a new inventory measuring naricissistic or self disorders.
