まえがき : 織物に固定したプリーツを与えることはWash and Wearの織物の特長である。このような織物のプリーツ保持性については現在までに2, 3の研究報告も行なわれているが, 主として折目角の時間的経過に伴う変化の測定に限られているようである。……

Pleat retention is one of the important factors of wash and wear fabrics. Wilkinson's creasometer is an useful instrument for measuring pleat sharpness. The authors have traced the profiles of pleat configurations of various fabrics employing this instrument and found the most effective point of heat treatment for setting pleat on fabrics by constructing the spacial curves between time and temperature applied for setting and of pleat sharpness produced.
