The crosses of male wild boar on female Landrace×Hampshire bring forth normal young, and these animals were used. The female reproductive tracts from five prepubertal, eight pubertal and eight adult animals were obtained at a slaughter. Macroscopic observations were carried out on the female reproductive tracts. The mean weight of one ovary in prepubertal, pubertal and adult animals was 1.8, 3.4 and 4.3g, respectively. The number of Graafian follicles which develop per one estrous cycle in pubertal and adult animals was 7.0 and 8.0 and the number of corpora lutea was 7.8 and 8.2, respectively. The number of Graafian follicles observed in this animal was smaller than that in the sow. The length of the oviduct was 13.2-20.0cm. The length of the uterine horn in prepubertal, pubertal and adult animals was 28.4, 79.0 and 98.4cm, respectively, showing the sudden increase in length of the uterine horn at puberty. The length of uterine body, uterine cervix, vagina and vestibule of vagina was 2.2-4.0, 8.2-9.6, 7.5-11.8 and 3.1-4.0cm, respectively. The shape of female reproductive tracts in the crossbred of pig×wild boar was essentially similar to that in the sow, but the size of reproductive tracts in this animal was smaller than that in the sow.
