抄録

In order to settle various problems which occured in the daily production control, we have newly developed “On-line real time production control system” at Chita plant, main plant of Daido Steel Co., Ltd.<br>The main features of the system are as follows:<br>(1) Since a continuous operation is practiced at this plant, high reliability is naturally required for this system. To perform this purpose, we have adopted the “Duplex System” by using two same type computers.<br>(2) Aiming at high efficiency of this system by integrating all sub-systems, we have developed a very workable and precisely organized data base system by ourselves and put it into practice.<br>(3) In order to make the On-line system more effective, we employed five different types of On-line terminals (47 units altogether) which suitable for our special steel production control system.<br>This system started its On-line service in May 1975. Since then, all original functions are well performed and this system working very functionally without any trouble.
