抄録

A noticeable reduction in the disappearance of indocyanine green (ICG) from the plasma was observed in rats received a single intraperitoneal injection of colchicine at a concentration of 0.3mg per 100g body weight, 3hours prior to the application of dyes.<BR>On the other hand, disappearance of bromosulphophtalein (BSP) from the plasma remained unchanged even after colchicine treatment.<BR>Excretion of ICG into the bile was also inhibited by colchicine, while that of BSP remained normal. Cytoplasmic microtubules in hepatocytes were reduced significantly by colchicine treatment.<BR>These results seem to correspond to the findings observed in a case of constitutional ICG excretory defect in man, suggesting that hepatocyte microtubular system is engaged in the intracellular transport of ICG. Colchicine treated rats may be served as an animal model for constitutional ICG excretory defect, pathogenesis of which has not yet been clarified.
