抄録

Epoxide hydrase (EH), which is one of the drug metabolizing enzymes in the liver, was purified from the rat liver treated with phenobarbital and some biochemical properties of preneoplastic antigen (PN antigen) was investigated with anti EH serum.<BR>Using immunochemical method and sodium dodecyl sulfatepolyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, it was found that PN antigen has the same antigenicity with EH and may be composed of EH and at least one more protein (m.w. 27, 000). Biological properties of such a binding protein to EH are not known so far. However, the existence of PN antigen as EH and its binding protein may be associated with microsomal membrane alterations during chemical carcinogenesis.
