抄録

Delayed-type hypersensitivity of Candida albicans (C. albicans) or Sporothrix schenkii (S. schenkii) was transferred specifically to nonimmune mice by intraperitoneal injection of dialysate of the spleen cell extract (Transfer Factor; TF) prepared from the immune mice. The mice treated with TF displayed significantly thickened footpads in the footpad swelling test. Morever, the Candida TF-treated mice survived the infection with a lethal dose of C. albicans. Fewer cells of C. albicans were recovered from the lungs and kidneys of the Candida TF-treated mice than from those of the mice treated with the dialysate of the spleen cells from nonimmune mice.
