- Original treatment of pulmonaly tuberculosis by enviomycin (EVM).
抄録
Thirty six cases of pulmonary tuberculosis without the previous treatment were treated with EVM for the period of 6 to 12 months in combination with RFP and INH.<BR>The results indicate that the smear negative conversion rate was 100% after 4 month treatment, and negative conversion rate by culture was 100% after 5 month treatment.<BR>Moderate or marked improvements of chest findings after 6 month was 65.7% for basic lesions and 48.9% for the cavities according to the Gakken' s criteria.<BR>As for side-effects, occurrence of hearing loss and impairement of renal function were not observed, though patients more than 50 years occupied approximately 70% of all treated patients.
