抄録

Hardy's approach was used to remove pituitary tumors in 3 cases.<br>Case 1: A 34-year-old woman with an acromegalic face. The tumor was removed by Hardy's approach. The histological diagnosis was acidophilic adenoma.<br>Case 2: A 55-year-old woman was found to have a pituitary tumor when a head injury required X-ray examination. The tumor extended from the sella turcica to the extra-sellar tissues and sphenoid and ethmoid sinuses. She was operated on by both transcranial and Hardy's approaches. The histological diagnosis was chromophobic adenoma.<br>Case 3: A 55-year-old man complained of visual disturbances. A pituitary tumor extended from the sella turcica to the extra-sellar tissues and sphenoid sinus.<br>He was operated on by both transcranial and Hardy's approaches.<br>The rhinological indications and management of Hardy's approach are discussed.
