We experienced three cases of intrabdominal malignant tumor with invasion into the abdominal wall, for which associated resection of the abdominal wall with reconstruction of the defect in the abdominal wall using musculocutaneous flap. There were two men and one women, and an average age was 53 years. Two patients underwent a pelvic exenteration with associated resection of the abdominal wall, and the remaining patient underwent a right hemicolectomy with associated resection of the abdominal wall. The case undergoing the right hemicolectomy was reconstructed using a rectus abdominis flap, and the two cases undergoing the plevic exenteration, using a flap from the musculus tensor fasciae latae. Graft survival was good in all three cases. Two out of three patients were able to recover their home lives.<br> It is thought that the reconstruction with a musculocutaneous flap for a wide defect of abdominal wall is useful in terms of postoperative quality of life of the patient.
