The semiconductive properties of the o-, m- and p-nitrobenzoic acids have been investigated before and after the adsorption of various vapors. The results of the o- and m-isomers are quite different from that of the p-isomer. The enhancement in conductivity is related exponentially to the amount adsorbed and the effect is stronger in the case of large steric hindrances to the coplanarity of the molecule. The kinetics of the conductivity rise follow the Roginsky-Zeldovich equation and the agreement between this equation and the experimental results is good.
