Anesthesia for a patient with Kearns-Shy syndrome.

抄録

A case of Kearns-Shy syndrome, anesthetized with neuroleptoanesthesia for radical mastectomy, is presented.<br>There are some problems in this syndrome anesthesiologically, i.e. cardio-myopathy, muscle weakness or underdevelopment clinically and mitochondrial abnormality pathologically.<br>A 42 year-old woman was anesthetized with Thalamonal, Fentanyl, nitrous oxide and oxygen under circulatory monitoring.<br>Any cardiopulmonary complication was not found during anesthsia, except mild hypothermia.<br>The authers have indicated in this report that neuroleptoanesthesia is available for the management of Kearns-shy syndrome.
