Familial polyposis coli (FPC) is thought to be genetic tumor syndrome, depend on autosomal dominant transmission and often associated with colorectal cancer. Although gastric polyp is frequently recognized in FPC as a lesion of the alimentary tract except colorectal cancer, it is very rare that gastric cancer occurs in the patients or family members of FPC. We encountered a case of FPC with familial clustering of gastric cancer, and the findings obtained had suggested that FPC due to single gene transmission and cancer prone family syndrome of alimentary tract due to polugene transmission were overlapping partially. <BR>In FPC, accordingly, examinaton of the upper gastrointestinal tract as well as colorectal examination is necessary to detect the lesions in the family members.
