抄録

Cephalic and caudal lobes of the anterior pituitary of pullets at various ages from 3 to 30 weeks were assayed for FSH and LH. Between the two lobes, either or both of the concentration and the content of FSH and LH differed at certain ages, but the difference was not always the same for FSH and LH. The results suggest a possibility for the existence of a different controlling mechanism for the secretion (production and/or release) of FSH and LH from the two lobes of the anterior pituitary of pullets.
