Electron Correlation and Band Width of dγ<SUP>1</SUP> Pyrite Compounds

Abstract

The magnetic susceptibility and the electrical resistivity were measured on the pyrite type compounds having the dγ¹ band configuration, CoSe₂, NiPS, NiAsS, NiSbS, NiAsSe and NiSbSe. The magnetic properties were interpreted qualitatively by the estimated ratios of the band width to the correlation energy.
